Creamy Mocha Slush

This Creamy Mocha Slush is an easy café-style drink you can make with everyday ingredients. Instant coffee, regular milk, cocoa powder and ice blend into a cold, frothy mocha—no espresso machine, chocolate milk or frozen coffee cubes needed.
Why You’ll Love This Mocha Slush
It takes about five minutes, makes two glasses and is easy to customize. Use sugar for a classic mocha or sweetened condensed milk for extra creaminess, then add more ice until the texture is exactly as slushy as you like.
Creamy Mocha Slush
Ingredients
- 2 cups cold milk
- 3–4 tsp instant coffee
- 4 tbsp hot water
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- Choose one sweetener: 2 tbsp sugar, or to taste OR 2–3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, or to taste
- 2–3 cups ice cubes
Instructions
- Dissolve the coffee: Stir the instant coffee into the hot water until completely dissolved.
- Add the ingredients: Add the cold milk, dissolved coffee, cocoa powder and your chosen sweetener to a blender.
- Blend: Add 2 cups ice and blend until smooth, frothy and slushy.
- Adjust the texture: Add more ice a little at a time for a thicker slush. If it becomes too thick, add a splash of milk.
- Serve: Taste, adjust the sweetness if needed, pour into two glasses and serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
Coffee strength: Use 3 teaspoons instant coffee for a milder mocha or 4 teaspoons for a stronger coffee flavor.
Cocoa: One tablespoon is enough to give the drink a smooth chocolate flavor without overpowering the coffee.
Sugar or condensed milk: Use one or the other. Condensed milk makes the drink sweeter and creamier, so skip the sugar if you use it.
Ice: Start with 2 cups and add more only if you want a thicker, icier slush.
