Creamy chocolate banana peanut butter smoothie with oats and amla powder in a glass, with banana, oats, peanut butter, cocoa and amla powder styled in a bright kitchen

This thick and creamy smoothie combines banana, peanut butter, oats and cocoa with a teaspoon of amla powder. A frozen banana keeps it cold and creamy without needing ice, while honey lets you adjust the sweetness to your taste.

Why You’ll Love This Smoothie

It comes together in about five minutes, uses simple ingredients, and the oats and peanut butter make it more satisfying than a plain fruit smoothie. You can also use a fresh banana and add ice if that is what you have.

Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie with Oats & Amla

Ingredients

  • 1 large frozen banana
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1½ tbsp peanut butter
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp amla (Indian gooseberry) powder
  • 1 tsp honey, or to taste
  • A few ice cubes, optional if using a fresh banana

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients: Add the banana, milk, peanut butter, oats, cocoa powder, amla powder and honey to a blender.
  2. Blend: Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust: Taste and add a little more honey if needed. If using a fresh banana instead of frozen, add a few ice cubes if you want it colder and thicker.
  4. Serve: Pour into a glass and drink immediately.

Recipe Notes

Frozen banana: A frozen banana gives the smoothie a thicker, colder texture without ice.

Fresh banana: A regular banana works too. Add a few ice cubes if you want a colder, thicker drink.

Sweetness: Start with 1 teaspoon of honey and add more only if needed.

Amla powder: Amla, also called Indian gooseberry, contains vitamin C and plant antioxidants. Vitamin C supports normal immune function, collagen formation and iron absorption. The exact vitamin C amount can vary by product and processing, so check your package if you need a specific amount.
