This Strawberry Jam & Jelly Milkshake uses a homemade strawberry jam base for real fruit flavor, with prepared strawberry jelly blended into the milk and extra jelly chunks layered in the glass. It is light and fruity rather than thick or heavy. I used Rafhan strawberry jelly, but any brand of prepared strawberry jelly works.

Why You’ll Love This Strawberry Jam & Jelly Milkshake

This Strawberry Jam & Jelly Milkshake is light, fruity and refreshing rather than thick and heavy. Homemade strawberry jam gives it real fruit flavor, while prepared strawberry jelly adds a fun texture both in the blended drink and in the glass.

Strawberry Jam & Jelly Milkshake

Ingredients

  • For the homemade strawberry jam:
  • 2 cups strawberries, cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • For the milkshake:
  • 1½ cups cold milk
  • 1 tbsp homemade strawberry jam, plus more to taste for sweetness
  • 3 tbsp prepared strawberry jelly
  • Extra prepared strawberry jelly chunks, as desired, for layering
  • 2 tbsp homemade strawberry jam, for the bottom of the glass

Instructions

  1. Cook the chopped strawberries and sugar together until the strawberries soften and the mixture becomes jammy.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice at the very end, then let the homemade strawberry jam cool.
  3. Add 1½ cups cold milk, 1 tablespoon homemade strawberry jam and 3 tablespoons prepared strawberry jelly to a blender.
  4. Blend for just a few seconds. Taste and add a little more jam if you want the milkshake sweeter.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons homemade strawberry jam to the bottom of the serving glass and spread it slightly around the base.
  6. Add extra jelly chunks, then pour in the blended strawberry milkshake and serve cold.

Jelly & Sweetness Notes

I used Rafhan strawberry jelly, but you can use any brand you like. Start with 1 tablespoon of homemade jam in the blender, then add more only if you want a sweeter drink.
